The preparation of a Development Plan based on a curriculum and space analysis. The design and construction of a new three storey Art, Science and Technology building with General Classrooms and a Hall.
The project, which includes landscaping, is built on a very restricted landlocked site made available by Grosvenor Estates. The construction involved significant excavation to minimise the height of the buildings overshadowing the adjacent gardens. All fenestration looks into the site to avoid overlooking of the surrounding gardens.
The District Line runs in a tunnel along one side of the site, creating considerable complications with the construction process.
To make access to the site possible one of the houses in Graham Terrace had to be demolished at commencement of the contract and rebuilt on completion.
