The preparation of a phased Development Plan for the modernisation of the existing four-form entry secondary school based on curriculum and space analyses; the design and construction of a group of two storey buildings with basement and the modernisation of the main existing three-storey building with basement; the design and construction of a new playground and car park with landscaping.

The school, which is located in a conservation area, includes a listed chapel by Pugin. This had to be preserved and the project therefore fell under the stringent listed building regulations of English Heritage.
